Baylor University counselors, students cope with freshman’s apparent suicide attempt

Baylor University students were reeling Tuesday after learning that one of their classmates apparently tried to take her life Monday afternoon by kneeling down in traffic on Interstate 35.

“It was devastating,” said Baylor junior Samone White of her reaction to learning that McKenzie Fergus, a 20-year-old freshman studying film and media, walked into the northbound lanes of the interstate, knelt down and was struck by an oncoming Ford F-150 pickup.

Bag of Randomness

  • WifeGeeding’s baby bump is getting bigger and bigger.
  • As much as I like and respect Drew Brees, that guy needs to do something with his hair.
  • But not as much as Shambo, for all you Survivor watchers.
  • Even though I don’t make a lot of post on the Southwest Airlines official blog, I’m honored to be part of the team, and I’m only part of the team because of the generosity of Paula Berg, who is leaving the company after ten years.  She recently posted 66 reasons why she loved working at Southwest.  Even though I’m not an employee of Southwest and I work in a different area than Paula, there’s a lot on her 66 reasons I can certainly relate with.
