  • California has this impression that they are super liberal, but every time major liberal items make it to the ballet, they don’t pass.
  • Authorities discover 30 tons of weed!
  • I’m quite interesting in watching the final episode of the NFL Network’s countdown of the top 100 players.  I haven’t been too impressed with the list thus far, and it’s hard for me to respect any top 100 football list that doesn’t have Sammy Baugh in the top ten.  And as great as Peyton Manning is, I’m surprised that he’ll end up in the top ten.  For now, I’m holding out hope that Walter Payton will end up first.
  • As a kid, my two favorite football players were Walter Payton and Joe Montana.
  • I recently heard that my high school won district for the first time in 25 years.  Way to go, Rams!
  • Last night Robin Roberts hosted a country music special and I found that pairing a bit odd.

  • The next two years sure will be interesting, politically speaking.
  • I don’t recall so much news coverage of the midterm elections in the past, but then again, I’m adult and I’m now paying attention to such things.
  • Governor Good Great Hair continues his rein.  I wonder how will he eventually leave office.  Will he seek a higher office, will he be defeated, will he accept another position (run as a VP or accept a role in a possible Republican administration), will he die in office?  There’s only one way for sure to defeat the man.
  • I bet Chet Edwards is going to find an administration job.
  • Olivia Munn never seems to get her lines right when she’s on The Daily Show.
  • I’m surprised that former George W. Bush would given Kanye West any amount of space in his book, but he did, and it really seemed to bother him.  I can’t decide if I want to read the book or not, I  like trying to understanding the opposing view or why a person came to a certain decision.
  • I really enjoyed the rain and the drop in temperature.
  • The DFW sports attitude regarding the San Francisco Giants has been interesting.  No one is bitter at them, it seems everyone just feels they were the better team that justifiably earned the championship.  With that said, it doesn’t seem anyone is really heart broken with the Rangers, they just feel really proud of the team for the great run.  It’s certainly a different attitude with the team across the street.
