Bag of Randomness

  • DogGeedingII is close to being house trained.  I’ve got him to sit on command and just taught him how to lay down, we’ll see if he can still pick that up tomorrow.  Next on the list will be roll0ver and then cook daddy a chicken-fried steak.
  • I’m surprised at the number of prime time shows that are two hours long.  In particular, The Biggest Loser.
  • I really don’t like being sick.
  • It’s funny how motivated you can be when you are sick, but only to not be motivated when you get to feeling better.
  • I’m terrified of heights.
  • And the sea.
  • This statement makes me old and boring:  I watched PBS last night.
  • The show was called Frontline and was about high school football and its dangers.  It first talked about heart stroke.  I remember two-a-days when I was in high school and coaches very rarely gave us any water breaks, the thought being that having water being readily available was a sign of weakness.  Man, how times have changed, and for the better.  We were really lucky that there weren’t any major catastrophes.
  • A lot of the show focused on a Christian school in Arkansas called Shiloh that eventually played Euless Trinity at Cowboys Stadium.  It was nice to see the players reactions as they first stepped on the field.
  • The show also showcased Euless and stated that 18 players weighed more than 250 pounds.  Man, times have changed.
  • I just can’t pull off wearing a pink shirt.
  • I know there’s a med school student that reads this blog, this guy made me think of him.
  • I’ve never experienced an earth quake.
  • True to life bear hug
  • Here’s an interesting photo project – teenage girls from across the globe in their rooms.  It seems that moss like to keep their clothes on the floor and hang bunch of picture collages.

  • This pastor has some strong opinions and doesn’t care much about his interview with 20/20
  • Prayer will bring lower gas prices?

Donald Trump on Faith: I am Christian, Sunday Church Person

Potential GOP presidential contender Donald Trump opened about his faith during an interview with a Christian network, saying he is a Christian and that he’s a “Sunday church person.”

“I believe in God. I am Christian. I think The Bible is certainly, it is THE book. It is the thing,” Trump told Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody.

In the six-minute interview clip, which will air nationwide Tuesday at 10 a.m. on “The 700 Club,” Trump shared that he used to attend First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica Queens.

“I’m a Protestant, I’m a Presbyterian. And you know I’ve had a good relationship with the church over the years. I think religion is a wonderful thing. I think my religion is a wonderful religion.”
