  • I didn’t watch the debate last night, but Gov Good Hair looked used all his fiber to keep himself from punching Romney.  Seriously.  And you know when Romney just laughed at Perry’s that fired him up.  And you can see at one point Perry was literally biting his lip.

  • I stopped going to our local Sports Clips for a haircut because I would always end up with this one stylist who not only couldn’t cut hair well, but just made you feel uncomfortable with her personality.  I’ve been going to a place near my office for about a year, and to my surprise, there she was yesterday and I just so happened to be lucky enough to have her cut my hair.
  • Our local ABC affiliate, WFAA, got a lot of attention from Stephen Colbert.  It was interesting how he pointed out just about everyone on the morning show except for the overly annoying Cynthia Izaguirre.  And just for good measure, here is her best work.
  • Remember the Reebok Pump?  I’m surprised that didn’t catch on with athletes since it was ‘customizable’ comfort.
  • The cab driver in the opening credits for The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was Quincy Jones.
  • The Yamal is a Russian ice-breaking ship that can only navigate in cold waters by design to keep its nuclear reactor cool.
  • Last week I called the pastor of First Baptist Church Dallas an attention whore.  Last Friday he was in Los Angeles to tape a face-to-face interview with Bill Maher.  But I give the guy credit, he was willing to walk into the lion’s den to address some of those ‘controversial’ questions head on.  Actually, I give both of them credit for being both constructive and cordial in their interaction.
  • I think most Christians have it wrong about Bill Maher.  Most just are defensive about him and say how ignorant he is when it comes to religion, but I think they are missing the point.  Maher is pointing out the perception that unbelievers have about those with faith, so he’s actually doing them a favor pointing out how they can more effectively communicate their message.
  • In that interview, Maher had a great question for Dr Jeffress.  Maher provided some direct quotes from Jesus promoting love and peace and asked how evangelical Christians and support war.  Jeffress provided some reference from Paul, and here is where Maher got me thinking, especially from the perspective of the unbeliever.  He asked Jeffress if the words of Jesus over rule those of Paul, and he said no.  Maher naturally was shocked and asked why, and Jeffress stated because it all comes from the same book.  To be honest, I’m not sure what to think of that answer or even if I agree, I’m a bit perplexed.  Off hand, I think we need to go with the words of Christ.

  • Note to self, don’t go to Ohio unless you have a firearm: As many as 48 wild animals, including cheetahs, grizzly bears, black bears, wolves, tigers and lions are on the loose in the area of Zanesville, Ohio, after they escaped from a private wildlife preserve.
  • I like it that MLB has the American League and National League play two different styles of baseball with pitchers and the designated hitter.  I just don’t like how it always favors the National League.
  • Al Davis can’t be dead, and that trade the Raiders had with the Bengals is proof.
  • The top 49 influential men of 2011 by AskMen.com.  I don’t have any problem with their number one.
  • We are having trouble with a name for FetusGeeding, and this ABC News segment about name regret only made it harder.
  • A pretty funny skit from FunnyOrDie.com that includes a bunch of celebrities about the Clinton Foundation that includes the man himself.

This black bear cub wandered away from his mama and found himself in the produce department of a local Ketchikan, Alaska grocery store.

I’m sure Mama Grizzly isn’t far behind.
