  • One day, eventually, Nico Harrison will step down as the Mavericks’ GM, and this city will go crazy. It’s going to be one of those days to just get the popcorn ready.
  • I have no idea if this was intentional or not.

  • We live in weird times. The visiting Lakers are rallying the home crowd to cheer for one of their own. Of course, it’s Luka, but just the thought of the dynamics is bewildering.

  • I’m sorry for the lack of posts this week. It’s been one of those tough emotional weeks.
  • I felt like a complete moran at church yesterday. I sat down to eat across from a woman I didn’t recognize and cheerfully said, “Howdy, I’m Keith,” with a big smile. She laughed and smiled back. Perplexed why she didn’t tell me her name, I cheerfully retorted, “What’s your name?” When she told me, I then realized it’s someone I’ve known for a while. I just didn’t recognize her because she used clippers to shave all her hair off after her first chemo treatment. Thankfully, she extended grace, as I think she expected morons like me not to recognize her.
  • Junior Miller shared a sweet story about his three-year-old daughter yesterday on the air. He mentioned that a kids’ version of We Will Rock You is his daughter’s favorite song. But to her, “we will rock you” means rocking in the rocking chair.
  • Jay North, TV’s mischievous Dennis the Menace, dies at 73

It’s disappointing that CNN, ABC, and especially CBS, which ran the show, left out that North suffered verbal and physical abuse on set—slapped for minor mistakes by his aunt, forced to work long hours, and robbed of a childhood. Later in life, he turned his pain into purpose by advocating to protect future child actors. That deserves to be part of his legacy. I also think it’s worth mentioning he served a short stint in the Navy and was honorably discharged, but he often received harsh treatment from his shipmates and superiors for being a former child star
  • I will be honest: I could not believe the WH press secretary herself used the phrase “bend the knee” but she did.

    • Have you ever been surprised at how many Thai restaurants you see in the United States? It’s all because of a Thai government program.

Speaking of which, this restaurant in Thailand will give you a discount depending on the bars your body can slide through.

  • I’m sure y’all remember Blanche Devereaux from The Golden Girls. I ran across a photo of her in her younger years.

  • Watching U2 at The Sphere in Las Vegas was amazing, and this is an interesting idea.

  • I’m sure managing President Trump’s PR is exceptionally challenging. But I think there were two major PR disasters recently. Last Thursday, the Dow was down 1,679 points (4%) and was down 5.5% (2,231 points) on Friday. Golfing all weekend was a bad look. Remember all the crap both George W. Bush and Obama received for their golfing outings? The other was not attending the dignified transfer of four American soldiers who died during a training exercise in Lithuania last week, instead sending Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to Dover Air Force Base, Del., while he stayed in Florida for golf and a fundraising dinner. Considering how the Lithuanian people honored our soldiers, it was a bad look. It was hard to miss the coverage.

On April 2nd, 4 US Army Soldiers died in a training accident in Lithuania. ️

  • I didn’t plan my day very well, which meant I had little time to blog. I’m sorry, I just threw this together. But, I’m happy to report I received my first full paycheck since DOGE let me go on February 14.
  • Nice save!

  • One of my favorite SNL episodes was when Val Kilmer hosted with U2 as the musical guest. Perhaps the best skit was Val reprising Iceman from Top Gun after his Navy years.

  • I’m definitely looking forward to this.

  • And yes, I’m also looking forward to this. Although I bet it’s going to be cruder than I’d like. But, I do like how they honored the original cast at the end of this clip, even OJ.
