- I got a frantic phone call from WifeGeeding that she locked her keys in the SUV with our children inside. A quick call to OnStar probably could have solved the problem, but I wanted to play hero so I drove to the rescue. When I arrived I could see DaughterGeeding was a little panicked, so I quickly unlocked the vehicle with the spare remote, opened the door, and hugged her. The first thing DaughterGeeding said to me was that she was going to see her grandmother today (which was true) and that she wanted mommy.
- When I was about the same age I asked my dad for the car keys. He gave them to me because he thought Mom was asking for them. I climbed into our huge white Buick, locked the doors, and put the key in the ignition. I wasn’t strong enough to start the car, but I was able to turn it to release the gear shift and then put the car in neutral. The car rolled back and bounced from the curb and back up the driveway a few times and the next thing I knew all my family was running to the car in a panic while I remained calm and cool behind he steering wheel honking the horn a few times. Eventually I unlocked the doors to my parent’s relief.

- I watched The Iron Lady over the weekend, it wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be.
- I also watched Skyfall, it was much better than I thought it would be. I’m really not that much of a James Bond fan, so I wish I could have appreciated all the inside hat-tips to the past Bond films, but I do think this was the best of the modern Bond films. Speaking of Bond films, I’ve never caught a Sean Connery one, sad to say.
