- TLC has a new show that focus’s on the lives of pastor wives in Atlanta. I have a feeling my pastor friend Jonathan that uprooted his family from Texas to Georgia will make a guest appearance. OK, maybe not.
- Here’s an interesting app for those trying to split costs and chores with a roommate. There’s even a signed agreement, which I guess is somewhat binding.
- A man in my small town of Mineral Wells decided to start a taxi service.
- Back in my day college bowl games were played on New Year’s Day and going to a bowl game was an actual accomplishment for a team. Today you have a .500 team like Michigan State playing in something called the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. And then there’s something called the Little Caesars Bowl with Western Kentucky (7-5) and Central Michigan (6-6). There’s a lot to love about college football, but this isn’t one of them.

Jewish temple, Islamic center, Episcopalian church to exist on 1 property
A unique vision for religious unity in Omaha is quickly becoming reality.
The concept is to build a Jewish temple, Islamic center, and Episcopalian church all on one property and connected by walkways that meet at a tri-faith center meant to encourage education and understanding.

- BoyGeeding’s lead results were confirmed, so now we have to have DaughterGeeding tested as well. His lead level is 6 micrograms per deciliter, and per our doctor and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, treatment wouldn’t start unless it was 20 micrograms per deciliter. We’ll be getting further instruction on what to do, but we were told our first course of action is getting the air vents cleaned and carpets steam cleaned, as the lead paint particles have more than likely broken down to air dust particles.
- Scattershooting while wondering how did former Southlake Carroll and University of North Texas head football coach Todd Dodge in his first year back in high school football. Marball Falls went 4-6 this year. Expect to hear their name in the playoffs in the years to come.

- A friend that I’ve known maybe less than two years sent me one of the kindest emails yesterday that actually made me tear up, or maybe my allergies were just killing me. I’d share more about it, but feel that would be a violation of trust and insincere on my part. But I will say if we are willing to let our guard down once in a while and open up our hearts and tell people how they are appreciated, it’s one step closer to making the world a better place.
