  • I’m now caught up with the rest of the “Breaking Bad” viewing public.  I thought the show would start up again in the next few months, but boy was I wrong.  New episodes don’t air until this summer.
  • Jessie was a big turnoff for me when I first started to watch the show, but he later became a big reason why I continued to watch.
  • Everytime I see a local Clay Cooley commercial I think of Saul Goodman.
  • I need to do some research on the colors in the show, purple seems to be a big player.
  • I’m kinda rooting for the downfall of Walt.
  • I should have known I would have liked the show because of creator Vince Gilligan, who did a lot of work for “The X-Files”.
  • I’d like to see the Mythbusters take on that whole U-Haul/magnet plot.
  • My CT scan is today and is at the same place that the Cowboys use.  I know that because my doctor’s staff kept telling me that over and over again.  All I care about is if it’s in network and my out of pocket expense.  After browsing through their website, it turns out Jerry actually owns the place and it appears I’ll have the scan in Valley Ranch at the Cowboys headquarters.  Maybe I’ll just carpool with my neighbor and save some gas.
  • I hear with all the antibiotics I’ve been taking as of late I should be taking some probiotics.
  • I’ve been on vacation this week and will return to work this coming Wednesday.  There’s no better way to spend vacation then sick in bed, but then again, my condition has been about the same since the first week of November.
  • Retired Genral Norman Schwarzkopf has died.  I remember reading his autobiography in college and two things stood out.  His father was the lead investigator in the Lindbergh baby kidnapping case and his first name was actually “H.” which made it a bit of a challenge with upper cadets at West Point.

  • As I kid I always dreamed of having a White Christmas, but was told because of where we live, it would more than likely never happen.  Despite never experiencing a White Christmas in North Texas, it now has now happened twice in about three years.
  • In my son’s first year of life, he’s batting a thousand for experiencing a White Christmas.
  • I said this about three Christmases ago and will say it again, it’s so surreal to have a White Christmas and I’m sure the folks that live up north just don’t get our awe about such an occurrence.
  • Despite still feeling like crap (health wise), I can’t pass up a few minutes in the snow on a White Christmas.
  • I’m thankful I don’t have to travel on Christmas day.
  • If there’s one thing I learned about snow in North Texas, mothers will sacrifice the well being of their children for good pictures of them in the snow.
  • We attended one of the Christmas Eve candlelit services at our church and in each chair was a small advert promoting an upcoming Heaven/Hell series.  I understand the need to reach out to visitors and all, but I thought the timing was ill timed.
  • The local news didn’t go as ape as they usually do when we get snowy and icy weather, the only coverage was during regular air time.  I guess they wanted to spend Christmas with their families as well, and I guess that proves they over-react when it’s any other day but Christmas.
  • I thought weatherman Pete Delkus was beating his chest a bit with this tweetI told all you naysayers. Snowmageddon, Snowpocalypse, White Death!!!! It’s here!
  • It probably doesn’t make any sense, but it feels weird watching Christmas movies on Christmas day, I just feel those movies are meant for preparing for the arrival of Christmas.
  • The Christmas tree always use to stay up at least past New Year’s Day, I’m not a believer of that anymore.
  • SMU finished it’s football season with a 7-6 record.  They only had a winning season because the last win was a bowl game.  Yup, there are too many bowl games.
  • Netflix had an outage on Christmas Eve, which affected my “Breaking Bad” watching.  I’m almost finished with season four and have the first half of season five ready to go.  That Skylar sure does gain a noticable amount of weight throughout the seasons.
