- There were certain pencil sharpeners in school, depending where they were mounted, that would really tear up your knuckles. But it was fun being the one to find it full enough to empty the shavings.
- When I first heard that the Kidd Kraddick public memorial would be held outdoors in August, I thought it was bad planning. But lucky for them, they got a major break in the weather with it only being in the 80’s. Here’s an article about his daughter who was about four hours away for auditioning for ‘The Voice’ when she heard of her father’s passing. She was understandably upset the media and Mark Cuban broadcast his death before she could inform Kidd’s siblings.
- I made a comment yesterday that Timmy on ‘The Bridge’ looked like Patrick Swayze from the grave and someone pointed out it actually his younger brother, and it’s true.
- Last night was date night for us and we took advantage of a gift certificate to the Estilo Gaúcho Brazilian Steakhouse in Frisco. I mentioned before how friendly, attentive, and professional the staff were, and once again they exceptional. We also think they are the best Brazillian steakhouse in all of DFW when it comes to food and highly recommend it.
- Outside of Stonebriar Center was a funky looking building about four stories tall being built that had a banner GuessWhatThisIs.com. I think it’s going to be that indoor skydiving business I posted about a while back.

- Fox Sports 1, the all sports channel that will seriously challenge ESPN starts on Saturday. If you are a DirecTV subscriber, it will be on channel 219. I tuned out on ESPN a long time ago because Sports Center was nothing but fluff, so I welcome the competition which should increase quality.
