I always thought I’d be able to hear Kidd Kraddick’s voice when taking my kids to school.
WifeGeeding swears she didn’t cry dropping GirlGeeding off to school, but I did detect some shake voice.
Engelbert Humperdinck is in the area for a concert. My parents use to love telling me the story about how every time we got in the car I would beg them to put in his 8-track and would whine until they gave in.
I’ve been asked why I don’t make any more time-lapse videos. Well, I lost the camera I normally use to make them.
I knew Burning Man was a big event, but after seeing this picture, I now know it’s gigantic.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan was on Colbert last night and was asked if he was elected Pope what name would he have chosen. I think all Cardinals deny thinking that, but I expect all have some sort of name in mind. Dolan coyly played off the question by answering “Stephen”, that first name of the host.
I’ve been hearing a lot about the need of clear and communicable church mission statements lately, and all that talk is a bit irritating because it sounds like we are making it harder than what it actually is. Perhaps I like to over simplicate things, but I think a church mission statement should just be one word . . . Love. Anything else, and you’re just trying to draw attention to things other than Christ. Love is short and to the point, and it’s easy for everyone to remember. The Bible tells us that God is love, and Jesus tell us the greatest commandments are to love God and love others. If it needs expanding, than I say keep it biblical and use Philippians 2:3-4. Sorry for the rant, and I’m sure I probably annoyed some of you church leadership folk.
