Something for the Documentary Lover – Born Rich

I heard about this an HBO documentary called ‘Born Rich’ which was put together by a Johnson & Johnson heir that was getting his fortune on his 21st birthday who felt compelled to interview other children from well established families like the Trumps, Vanderbilts, Newhouses and Bloombergs about what it’s like to be born rich and know you never have to work a day in your life.

I looked for it on HBOGo an Netflix without any luck and then on other sources like Google Play and still came up empty, but eventually I found it for free on YouTube of all places.

If you don’t have time to watch the full documentary, which is only about 67-minutes long, then just watch this two-minute-and-forty-second clip which contains my two favorite parts.

As you can tell it’s a bit dated as I believed it aired in October 2003.  While watching it I kept thinking a followup documentary should be made on where all these folks are today since it’s about a decade old.  I started to do the research on my own when I discovered the UK’s Daily Mail did the work for me.

Watch the full documentary below.

School Closed – Snow Day – Bohemian Rhapsody Style

We like to have fun at our school. So, after several school closings due to snow and cold, we recorded this call to parents to see if we could make them laugh. I think we succeeded. Boone County Schools in Kentucky is one of the nation’s finest. And, our awesome parents deserve this chuckle. By the way, if this video can gain us some exposure, AND you know of someone willing to help us out with some cash for technology, we DESPERATELY need it. Ellen? Rosie? Oprah? Jimmy Kimmel? We love our jobs – I hope you can tell!

MAPfrappe

This page allows you to see an outline of one part of the world overlayed on another part of the world. For example, you can sketch an outline of California in the “Reference Map” below, and then overlay the outline over Italy in the “Comparison Map.” Whatever outline you draw in the top map stays centered in the bottom map.

You can also toy around with landmarks and bodies of water.
