Tip for modern adulterers: If you’re planning to cheat on your wife of 10 years by awkwardly hitting on the model seated next to you on your flight out of Los Angeles, make sure she isn’t live-tweeting the entire miserable experience to her 13,000 followers. That’s exactly what happened to one unlucky actor this morning when he crossed model/Twitter funnyperson Melissa Stetten, who over the course of her flight discovered through the help of the Internet that not only is “Brian” married with child, he’s also a devout Christian and gigantic hypocrite.
Here are some of her tweets from the event:
Maybe she was lying
You know, that's pretty crappy of her. Sounds like he was being Oklahoma friendly. Maybe he crossed the line (and we don't really know the status of his marriage), but maybe he wasn't going to jump in bed with her, either. At worst, he was looking for a little nookie, and now she's using the situation to gain publicity and twitter followers. I'd say she's the one taking advantage.
And the other thing is that her tweets will have a chilling effect on all airline conversation. If I'm sitting next to and striking up a conversation with a person who wants to flatter themselves into thinking I'm hitting on them, then they could fire up the twitter and ruin my life. No, thanks. I'll just sit here and ignore you.
