For some reason I was researching Keiko, that killer whale in the Free Willy movies. For some other reason, I wanted to know what happened to his body after he died. Turns out he was buried on a beach at night, not far from where he beached himself, and later school children covered his grave with rocks. Here’s a picture of his grave in Norway. Tranquil.
Everytime I hear about the city of Galveston I get a creepy feeling, mainly because I think of the hurricane that hit it in 1900 and how the dead were first disposed. Casualties were so numerous they decided to dump them at sea, unfortunately many washed ashored for several weeks.
That same hurricane made it all the way up to NYC with 65 mph winds.
When I was in elementary school, I always preferred having a cardboard crayon box, the ones similar to a cigar box, as opposed to the plastic ones.

Heh, to me, Keiko will always be Chief O'Brien's wife on Star Trek: The Next Generation. 🙂
