- One day I’m going to write about my trip to Vegas to see U2. Saturday was their last concert at the Sphere for this year. U2fandom went wild because at one point Bono decided to don a vest, which was nostalgic for some.
- If there was ever a good time for something to go wrong with the Sphere’s LED walls, I guess it would be the last show of the year. I’m curious how they fixed that thing. My guess is that everything is accessible from the back so the audience will never see a worker, or that it was a software and not a hardware issue.
- The Tennessee Titans wearing throwback Houston Oilers unis at home (along with Oilers written in both endzones and logo midfield) against the Houston Texans after stealing their team is a pretty aggressive move. But, Houston won the game, and playfully I think that means they get the rights back to all the Oilers stuff.

I remember the rinky-dinky shed all my high school coaches shared, so my jaw dropped when I saw the room just for the freshmen staff.

- My church usually selects a family with young children to walk down the center aisle to light an Advent candle, with a child usually doing the honor. This week it was a couple without any children who celebrated their 50th anniversary earlier this year. I thought that was sweet.
- You have no idea the level of respect I have for this woman.
- This has been a fun story to follow. Two Aggies fell in love, got married, and had a baby boy. Somehow, their son becomes a Texas Longhorn fan, the worst thing that a parent of an Aggie can imagine. When the final four football teams were announced for the playoffs, their parents filmed their son’s joyous reaction when Texas was mentioned and the clip went viral. One of the big wigs at Texas sends the kids, and as a joke, the parents, Longhorn gear. All in good fun, Aggie Mom and Dad wore the gear and took a funny family photo with their son. You can even see the father’s Aggie ring. I applaud these parents, who don’t take their school loyalty too seriously (unlike other families I know).

- I’m surprised the article doesn’t mention either the church or denomination he was associated with.
- Of course, it’s U2. But I loved how she sang it on the last Letterman show before Christmas each year and how it grew into something bigger each year, and U2 performed it for the first time live in 35 years. – Darlene Love Reveals Her Favorite Cover of ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’: It’s Totally Different’
- “I have a connection with U2 and the song because U2 wanted me to do all the background parts, not me and some people,” she tells podcast host Brian Teta, The View’s executive producer and showrunner. “I did all the background parts. We went in and we did the song.”
“It has a special meaning to me because it’s totally different from what everybody else did,” adds Love, 82. “It was U2’s ‘Baby (Christmas Please Come Home).’ That’s what made it so great.”
