I was watching a Toy Story special and Tom Hanks mentioned how Disney will sell a voice role to you, “Come be the voice of a Disney cartoon and you’ll live forever and you’ll delight your kids and grandkids.”
Hanks is our generation’s Jimmy Stewart.
I’m uncomfortable seeing nativity displays in the church since they are biblically inaccurate. Churches like to stress about getting things biblically correct, but when it comes to certain traditions, they cave in, and this might be the biggest of them all.
In this spoiler-free Star Wars review, the author mentions something that should calm JJ Abrams critics – There are no lens flares (that I noticed), but instead there’s a crispness to the image, that only makes the occasional blurry bit of VFX stick out a bit more. And Abrams has gotten a good deal better at shooting action, in a way that’s mostly clear and kinetic.
If you are a Netflix ‘House of Cards’ fan, you’ll get a kick out of the Frank Underwood website – www.fu2016.com – especially when you click on the “MEET CLAIRE UNDERWOOD” link.
Re: Nativities in Church – probably should raise a question mark on me, but it doesn't. Heck, our church puts up lots of lighted garland, lighted wreaths, lighted nativities, and even Christmas trees in several places. None of that is biblical in any way. But it is all very beautiful. For me, churches aren't built on what I see, they are built on what the members believe.
Re: Nativities in Church – I've always thought it strange we sing a completely fictitious Christmas carol, "Little Drummer Boy." Besides the inaccuracies of the nativity, this carol has bugged me because Christians just accept and sing a made up story about the birth of their savior. I don't know about you, but the last thing I want near my sleeping newborn is a kid banging on a drum.

The nativity scene is just a symbol.
