  • While looking at one of our baby bottles the other night I couldn’t help but wonder how the nipple was made or designed.  Was it just created out of what some person thought a nipple should be like, maybe after some research, or did some women have her nipple molded?  If it’s the latter, what a honor to know that your nipple has fed so many babies, but I wonder what the selection process was like.  I’d guess nepotism.
  • I caught NBC’s Hollywood Game Night last night and I have to say, I’d recommend it.  Basically, there are two teams to three celebrities and one contestant that play various games in a living room kind of atmosphere.  I’m surprised they were able to get decent celebrities, I’d say they are all at least B-list (Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Martin Short, Alyson Hannigan, Kristen Bell, and Daniel Dae Kim) team up with normal people to compete, and maybe even more surprisingly, some are from rival networks.  One thing was for sure, you could tell there was alcohol on set.  I have to admit, Martin Short is a great talent, but he can get almost Robin Williams distracting and carried away.
  • I don’t listen to a lot radio nowadays so I’m not on the up and up.  I thought I was listening to and enjoying a few Mumford and Sons songs, but it turns out I was listening to Philip Phillips.
  • Everything I hear a Mumford and Sons song (or what I think is a Mumford and Sons) song I can’t help but have this image in my head.
  • A funny comparison if you are watching the Zimmerman trial.
  • The Pirates and the Athletics baseball clubs may both be older than a 100 years, but it was only until yesterday that the Pirates beat the Athletics for the first time in history.  Of course interleague play didn’t start until 1997, so it’s not like they really had a chance to play each other, but then again, they did play 11 times before with the A’s being the victor.
  • I’m not sure what to think of this chair.
  • There are few professional athletes like Derek Jeter.
  • As a teen it was sometimes awkward calling a friend and having to talk to their parent first.  I wonder if teens still have to go through that a little or at all.
  • It seemed like it took Mineral Wells a lot longer to get touch tone phone service than other places.
  • I use to mow lawns in the summer while in high school for a sprinkler and lawn care company.  It was a rule and I was trained in how to never have to pull the mower backwards, we were only allowed to push it forwards.  The one thing I loved about that job was the ability to block the outside world and just think and ponder while mowing.  It was my own little Fortress of Solitude, and I guess one reason why I still prefer to mow my own lawn today.  Oh, and I’m cheap.
  • I wonder why the Tea Party doesn’t spin off into their own party, they don’t seem to like working with the GOP.  It seems like they want to change the GOP or move it further right.  Palin mentioned about starting a new party, better now than never.

I grew up living at the end of the line, literally. We were the last phone on the exchange and for years our phone line laid in the barditch. Every year when they mowed the ditches our phone would go out. We were the very last to get a private line and much later push button phones.

The Tea Party doesn't really want to be their own party. If they splintered off they would be as relevant as the Green Party. This way they can bully the GOP around, i.e. agree with us or we'll call you a liberal. Most Tea Partiers wouldn't know a true conservative if Barry Goldwater smacked them upside the head.

I really like Pope Francis (and I'm not even Catholic).

You have a wierd yard if you can mow it without EVER pulling the mower backward, at least a little, near a tree, a wall, or other obstacle.
