Bag of Randomness

  • It’s December, it’s time for the Cowboys to self destruct, and so far they are exceeding my expectations.
  • Jason Garrett’s clock management skills are about as good as a Kardashian marriage counselor.  I can’t understand when time was running out in regulation, with two timeouts left, he didn’t utilize one to run another play to give his kicker a better chance.
  • I don’t blame Garrett for ‘icing’ the kicker, his special teams coach Doe Decamillis and kicking coach Chris Boniol asked him to call the time out prior to the snap.
  • Baylor is really in a good rhythm, too bad it comes towards the end of the season and not sooner.  It would have been nice to see them play when OU and Texas had stronger teams like they did in the past.  But overall, they should be proud of this season.
  • Somebody needs to get that RGIII some PR coaching, ASAP.  His remarks after the game about his chances of winning the Heisman were arrogant and immature.  I wonder if he’s heard of a guy named Andrew Luck.
  • I can’t believe LSU is playing Alabama in the BCS national championship game.  It’s total bullshit.  Alabama lost to LSU . . . at home . . . they had their chance.  I thought every game mattered in college football?  It may make for a better championship game, but I’m more interested in seeing a team that hasn’t had the opportunity to play LSU and prove their presence.
  • Heck, I don’t even think LSU needs to play a championship game when you look at their schedule and who they beat.
  • And that stupid game is going to be played on Jan 9 . . . it’s asinine to drag the season that far out.
  • Well, at least the higher ups have the students best intentions in mind and their isn’t any corruption in college football.
  • The Aggies will be playing in the Meineke Care Care of Texas Bowl.  Other sill bowl games that you can add to the mix are the Little Caesar’s Bowl, the GoDaddy.com Bowl, and the TicketCity Bowl.

  • I saw a segment on the history of gift wrapping yesterday.  For the longest time, only white paper was used for wrapping and it was all held together with pins.  It wasn’t until 1917 that Hallmark made colored and patterned wrapping paper available.

  • The Math That Saved Apollo 13 Just Sold for $388,375 – It’s amazing they didn’t use or have calculators to do such a calculation in such a short and critical time.  I was trying to find the movie clip on YouTube but had no luck.
