Currently, Apple’s stock is at an all time high. A share today is worth over 40 times its value seven years ago. So, how much would you have today if you purchased stock instead of an Apple product?
It’s a rather large and interesting chart, but here’s an example:
The Apple PowerBook G3 250 was released on Nov 10, 1997 for $5700. If you bought $5700 worth of Apple stock instead of that PowerBook, that stock would be worth about $330,563 today.
Not quite to the same scale, of course, but we bought Apple in 2007 at $97 a share. It's at around $260 this morning. Frankly, I wish we'd bought more…
