OMG – 14,528 Text Messages in a Month

Greg Hardesty didn’t LOL when he got his teen daughter’s cellphone statement.

All he could think was “OMG!”

The California man’s 13-year-old daughter, Reina, racked up an astonishing 14,528 text messages in one month. The online AT&T statement ran 440 pages.

“First, I laughed. I thought, ‘That’s insane, that’s impossible,’ ” the 45-year-old dad said. “And I immediately whipped out the calculator to see if it was humanly possible.”

He found it was – barely.

It works out to 484 text messages a day, or one every two minutes of every waking hour.

Bag of Randomness

  • I’m surprised that Dubya’s farewell was not from the Oval Office.  Can’t he do anything right?  (I’m joking)  But it was a nice to see him recognize certain individuals in the audience.
  • But hey, he’s a trendsetter.
  • All the camera clicking was a bit distracting.
  • Has he always had sideburns?  I mean, they aren’t Elvis lambchops or anything, but it was the first time I noticed them.  EDIT:  I found some pictures of him with and without sideburns using The Google, but for some reason I can’t upload them to my website.  Blerg.  EDIT EDIT: For those of you using Wordpress and unable to upload a photo, that’s because you have Adobe Flash 10 which has a bug.  Go back to Flash 9 and all will be well.
  • I remember during his first inauguration and how much it was raining, and I wondered at the time if that was foreshadowing.
