Bag of Randomness

  • Here’s a nice, neutral, somewhat brief, and informative article about the McCain and Obama economic tax plans.
  • I learned a new word, wont.  When I first saw it, I thought someone mispelled a contraction.
  • I’ve been married for a little over five years and just discovered how much women spend when getting their hair done . . . jaw dropping.
  • In case you ever wanted to look at a high-resolution picture of John McCain [2400 x 3040], here you go.
  • That photos shows a weight lifting tie, some face stubble, a little ear hair, and very trimmed eye-brows.
  • This blog gets about 300 spam comments a day which I why I use a spam filtering tool.  Sometime, unfortunately, not all legitimate comments get through.
  • MSNBC is accused of being too liberal and does something about keeping it’s journalistic integrity.  Fox News has been accused of being too conservative and has never done anything about it.
  • I’m interested to see what SNL has in line for us regarding politics.
  • I’m not sure how I did on my Southwest Airlines Blog-o-spondent interview, but I should hear some news today.  Thanks again to all of you that voted.
  • I never had a girlfriend in high school or college.  At the time I was in the Baptist monastery.
  • I just have a feeling that the Cowboys are going to disappoint me this year, and I don’t like our chances against the Eagles.
  • It’s fun watching football and not playing fantasy football for a change.
  • I still have a plant that a friend gave me after my father died a little over ten years ago.
  • I have a friend who is named after Jimi Hendrix.
  • With satellite TV, I have never had as many channels as I do now and I still can’t find anything to watch.  But that’s where the greatness of Tivo comes in.
  • I almost killed a bunny the other day weed-eating.  He was in shallow little hole and didn’t budge at all when I got right next to him.  Thankfully I saw him in time.
  • I sleep with two pillows.
  • Sometimes I just like to listen to musical scores.  Dances With Wolves is one of my favorite.
  • I’m tempted to buy things out of the Sky Mall.
  • I recently discovered that El Paso is not in the Central Time Zone, all this time I thought all of Texas was in that time zone.
  • I haven’t worn jeans, khakis, or any kind of dress pants to work since May.

I have a husband who is named after Clint Eastwood. He cringes every time I make a hair appointment.

  2. My family had a dog named after Robert Redford (Redford) and later on a dog named after Mel Gibson (Gibson). Your Cowboys will disappoint you this year, and you should be scared of the Eagles this week. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!

-Very informative yahoo article…thanks for sharing. Drives me insane that both McCain and Obama supported the recent bailouts. My only additional bit of info is that saying the Obama’s tax increases only affect the rich isn’t totally true. Granted, the tax bracket for the highest income group does increase, but the dividends and capital gains tax surge as well. And to say that it only affects the rich is not true. If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you would be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes. Makes my 401(k) hurt.
-I agree with your MSNBC comment 100%. I don’t like Olberman, but i can’t stand Sean Hannity either. Wish they’d kick him off FoxNews (although I don’t agree with Alan Combs, he is much more palatable than Hannity).
-I love the Lord of the Rings music.
    -GO COWBOYS!!!!!!

Dances with Wolves is a good one, another one is “The Last of the Mohican’s” soundtrack. There is also a great DeNiro film call “The Mission” that also has a great soundtrack. Both great flicks too if you have not seen them.

I also love the “The Life Aquatic w/ Steve Zissou” soundtrack, it is great if you are a Bowie fan. Check it out on iTunes.
