FedEx and Woot

Last Thursday I ordered a product from Woot. If you are unfamiliar with Woot, it is a website that only sells one product a day and some people are obsessed over it. Woot is also located in Carrollton, TX - litererally a five minute drive from my house in Lewisville.

I thought since I haven't received my package as of yesterday, I would use the FedEx tracking system. It told me my package was sent from Carrollton and is now in the state of Pennsylvania. When I called and talked to a FedEx representative, they told me that is normal occurrence - that even though I may be located close to the drop off point, the package must first go to a distribution center to be sorted and then routed to the desired destination. Uhhhhh, yeah, that makes sense.
