Trump is deserving of much criticism in areas, but implementing this program. I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about it on social media, but I fail to see how notifying people en masse of a tragedy or danger is negative.
My biggest concerns with this type of system are: (1) is it really necessary? And (2) I worry about the potential for someone to hack into the system and create mass pandemonium.

I hadn’t heard of this before, but I can’t say it increases my anxiety of living in close proximity…I just find the whole premise/exercise novel – interesting, I guess – and I’d love to know statistics about people who are living there – what their crimes were, whether they were multiple offenders, how they feel about their designations, etc. The kind of thing that would be covered in a documentary.
