Had a lot of friends there (now retired or dead) back in the day. Hate to see schools suffer or close (Lon Morris College – 2012). Other church schools (TCU) are flourishing. If you drive by the Froggie Campus, you will be amazed by the number of new buildings built in the last five years and the current crop of new constructions under way.
I thought the Beto / Cruz debate was a draw, but Beto did draw blood a few times calling out Cruz for lying.
I’ve always loved SIMAAM. It’s quirky, it’s sweet, it has Nancy Travis and Mike Myers manages to keep his schtick to a minimum. But mainly for Nancy Travis.
Thanks for the shout-out, Keith! I trained all summer for this, and the race went really well for me. It’s really satisfying to see hard work pay off. The weather was drizzly that morning, but the clouds and cooler temps were very helpful in keeping my body cool so I could run hard. It will be nice to back off the training a bit now and rest a little. Next goal: a winter half marathon.
