As a kid I would have hated the idea of doing schoolwork on a snow day. As a parent I’d have to say it’s brilliant. That’s how technology is supposed to improve us.

Was thrilled to see Jimmy and Kim again. OK, happier to see Kim… Glad to see the cinematography hasn’t changed. They do some amazing work. Only 10 episodes this season so get ready for a short and bumpy ride.

Not sure about Lodge 49 yet. 1st episode was all laying character backstory so no telling where this is headed. Could be the next Big Lebowski or John from Cincinnati. Only time will tell.

Better Call Saul is “must-see” TV for me, and I was so happy the season has finally started. I’m also still incredibly pissed that Michael McKean not only didn’t win an Emmy for last season, but he wasn’t even nominated. That is a travesty.

If homework on a snow day = not having to make up days later, kids are still coming out ahead. Because I guarantee they can knock out the homework a lot faster than 7 hours, which is a net time gain. Just don’t ask me to explain that to a second grader. And it’s not like it would really matter here – we haven’t had a snow/weather day in 3 years.

Echo the sentiment about Better Call Saul. I was not expecting Jimmy to be so flippant in the last scene, so quickly. Clearly neither was Kim. But as I think about it today, I was mistaking all of Jimmy’s “grief” in previous scenes being about Chuck’s death, I think now he was grieving over all of the harsh things Chuck said to him in their last meeting… “you never mattered that much to me”. It’s just a bonus that Howard feels responsible for the insurance thing that Jimmy faked… here comes Saul….
