At least it is not the school's mistake. This is from a parent. This shows the importance of proofreading and editing. You yourself have said you need to proofread but that you probably won't do it.
You know, John, this is a bit of me being in a glass house and throwing a rock or two. 🙂 I'm not bothered by it, just found it funny, and know that it could happen to anyone. I hope I didn't come across as looking down on them. But at the same time, depending on the document, the more "official" it is, the likelihood of my proofreading it and having others take a look would increase.
I've filled out a number of membership forms in my lifetime that probably have helped with my continence. Brings to mind something funny that happened at my work: a coworker sent an email about our chapel dedication service that was to take place, but the title to the email read chapel defication service. Puts a whole different spin on the kind of service we were hoping for!
