    Yeah, I would have been lost on that, too. Interestingly enough, one of the suggested videos that comes up after this one ends shows the same configuration for a '67 Chevy Nova. Was this just where Chevy put them? It's all before my time.

    I had forgotten about this. My first car was a '57 Chevy, and while the tail light configuration differed slightly, it also filled there. I also remember some cars back then had the fuel cap hidden behind the license plate frame, which had a spring hinge at the bottom. The craziest was pickups (Chevy for sure) where the gas cap was next to the driver's door. The fuel tank was in the cab, right behind the seat!

    My 2000 Corvette has the fuel filler less than a foot to the right of the driver's door latch. If I hold my tongue just right, I can take the cap off without getting out of the car.
