Find Out What Your Name Would Be if You Were Born Today

The popularity of your name is likely far different today than it was the year you were born. Maybe you’re one of those men born in 1983 and named Michael, the most popular name of the year. 1. Ben W. says:

I was born in the '70s, but my '70s name isn't my name. Interestingly, though, my 1890s name is my name. I guess I really am an old soul.

  2. The Donald says:

Parlor trick. While somewhat amusing, the basic premise that someone intentionally named their child the XXth most popular name in a year or decade seems a little silly, together with the pseudo-logic that they would correspondingly do so in different decades. My '1960s name' supposedly is Douglas, .then iteratively Patrick/Mark/Steven/Cameron/Joseph in the successive decades.

But the jibberish internet app conveniently ignores that most parents name children based on an esteemed relative (as in my case), unrelated admired personalities, or simply nice-sounding or names. I don't think I've met anyone who said "I'm going to name my child the 19th most popular name."
