  • I feel like there some sort of Country Music awards show every month of the year.
  • I think we’re all familiar with crop circles, but one man has taken it step further by making snow circles.  But here’s the kicker, he only does it by walking and the results are beautiful.  Here’s more of his work.
  • Funny – Alabama Coach Nick Saban Paged at Austin’s Airport
  • The White House posted pictures of President Obama’s trip to South Africa.  I like this one of former President George W. Bush showing Hillary Clinton pictures of his paintings (per the caption on the slideshow) and this one of the Bushs and Obamas about to have dinner and how they are sitting next to each other’s spouse.  But I’m not use to seeing the presidential limo driving so close to other cars in regular traffic, though I’m sure they were in some kind of express lane.  And of course Bono and his wife was there and chatted with the president.
  • The last bullet point reminds me of a book I have and need to tear into about the relationships of former presidents.  I did skim through it and after JFK’s death LBJ told Eisenhower that he was the most important adviser he has.  And in George H.W. Bush’s letter to Clinton, that traditional one from the out going president left on the Oval Office desk to the new one, he told Clinton that “You are our president and we are rooting for you.”
  • 10 Amazing Letters From Presidents –  In this list is a hand written to Chris Webber from Clinton about the phantom timeout he called in the 1993 NCAA championship game.  Finding this list is a bit timely because yesterday I ran across a letter former President George W. Bush wrote to the Alabama kicker after they lost against Auburn.
  • You don’t have to be elected president of anything to send a hand written letter of encouragement to someone.
  • It all started with a kiss on the hand – ‘Sexual harassment’ wording dropped from 6-year-old’s school record
  • One thing that annoys WifeGeeding is when people state their family and use an apostrophe and an “s” when it should be be an “s” with no apostrophe.  For instance, our last name is Geeding, so in a sentence it should read “The Geedings took a trip to Boise.”  What gets on her nerves is seeing “The Geeding’s took a trip to Boise.”
  • Jesus Face Database Map – Tracking global Jesus sightings so you don’t have to.
  • I’ve finished the first season of ‘Orange is the New Black’ and definitely recommend it.  That was a nice season ended they had btw.
  • Vista Ridge Mall is our local mall and it has taken a strong turn for the worst, and I don’t see how it can compete with nearby Grapevine Mills (which I don’t think is all that great) and other new modern malls somewhat nearby.
  • I love this Empire Strikes Back and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer t-shirt.
  • Audio of the fake Micheal Irvin announcing school closings due to bad weather.
  • The Redskins are doing the right thing in benching RGIII for the remainder of the season, especially if you have the long term in mind.  To get RGIII the Skins had to trade draft picks, one of them being for the next draft.  There’s no doubt he’s the future of the franchise, so now that they are eliminated from the playoffs, play the backup who many see a lot of potential and then trade him at the end of the season.  Allowing him to play will increase his value because he’s actually pretty good.  But the reason for the benching has nothing to do with the future or draft picks but more to do with an arrogant Daniel Snyder, a controlling Mike Shanahan, and the primadonna that is RGIII.
  • I’m happy to hear that Rep Paul Ryan and Sen. Patty Murray have compromised and reached a deal for the budget.  Compromise and finding common ground is not a sign of weakness, I just wish this stuff could have been done long ago.
  • One admiration I have about British form of government is how elected representatives have direct public dialog with their head of state.  I wish we could adopt some form of this, I think it would help stop the name calling as leaders actually have to speak to one another face-to-face instead of through the media.
  • I didn’t want to have any involvement with Google+ until I was forced to when I uploaded a YouTube video, and I try to keep that account inactive.  However I mistakenly uploaded some photos and discovered they have something called Auto Awesome.  It identified Santa was in a picture with my kids and then turned it into a GIF with falling snow.  After a little research I discovered if there are Christmas lights in a picture it will make them blink.  Here’a a bit more about Auto AwesomeAuto Awesome creates fun new versions of your photos and videos. Your photos will be combined into short animations, wide panoramas, or merged into group shots where everyone looks good. You’ll know when an Auto Awesome photo or movie has been created by the  icon.
  • When taking pictures with Santa yesterday I was surprised at how stern some parents were with their kids right before greeting him and then expecting them to smile with joy in pictures.
  • The weight of the ice has bent the net poles at my local Top Golf.  I think that place just opened this fall.  Here’s another image from a further distance.
  • I heard that when heavy set girls lose weight their breast size decrease, but this girl must be the exception.  This was an observance made by WifeGeeding, btw.
  • I’ve mentioned that I’m contacted by someone on Conan O’Brien’s staff to post a video everyday.  Most of the time I just ignore those emails, but I noticed they actually leave a phone number as part of their contact information.  It’s not a toll free number and I’m tempted to call it.
  • This is what a 64-team college football playoff would look like using current matchups
  • Norway is digitizing all its books and making them free to read online
  • Yahoo Mail Is a Consumer Disaster, But Company’s Response Is Even Worse
  • Skydiver falls 9,000 feet and survives after becoming entangled with friend’s parachute
  • Federal judge sets hearing on Texas same-sex marriage ban
  • Canadian MP Eve Adams will not be reimbursed for hundreds of dollars in grooming supplies and visits to hair and nail salons that she had claimed as campaign expenses in the 2011 election.
  • While belting out a Christmas song at a school concert, a KODA (kid of deaf adult) performed sign language so her hearing-impaired mom could understand the lyrics.
