I wait to watch the show at least a half hour after it starts just to fast forward through the commercials.
If you were a ‘Friday Night Lights’ fan it takes a bit of an adjustment getting use to seeing Landry Clarke break bad. But Todd seems a bit sloppy how open he’s discussing thing, so I think he’s gonna screw something up.
Finally . . . A Walt Jr sighting! He looked a little down and could probably use a little breakfast.
Walt was playing a lot of head games this episode and for the most part pretty successful. He was able to play his son with his cancer is routine and keep him from wanting to visit his aunt and uncle on his own. His video confession was able to force some tension between Hank and Marie. But Jessie knows Walt best and he was prepared for being played.
No one. No one, could have seen that confession coming.
Walt, Hank, and Saul all offered Jessie a clean slate.
Hank and Gomey were wearing purple and Marie was in black.
I really thought that Walt was going to stab Jessie during that long hug, but I have a feeling fans of the show would have erupted in anger over that kind of death. But I did like the tension.
It seems like Walt has the most trouble lying to Skylarberg. He seems so convincing lying to others, but to her, he comes off so unpolished.
That waiter must have been some homage to the waiter from Chotchkie’s in Office Space?
Interesting symbolism when looking at Walt in this episode . . . he was blurry in the video confession and he talked from the Shadows at the car wash office to Skylarberg.
There’s a theory that Walt is wearing prison issued glasses in the flash forwards.
I wonder if the guy that Saul uses as the Witness Protection Program is just a hitman Saul uses.
What was the place Jessie was standing in front of when the van came to pick him up? A graveyard?
The 5 Hour Energy displayed has moved, I wonder if it’s selling better.
We know the house doesn’t burn down, but I bet Jessie is the one that spray paints Heisenberg on the wall. And if I’m correct, those letters are yellow.
More symbolism – Walt picks up an ice cold gun and Jessie is playing with fire.
There are lots of comparisons to Pulp Fiction in this season, and to add to it, Jessie kept screaming for Saul to tell him one more time like Samuel L. Jackson’s character . . . and that actor was in the discussion show that immediately followed this episode.
My latest prediction for the end . . . Walt fakes his death, but all the flash forwards is Walt preparing to protect Jessie and Walt dies in the ending doing so.
I think Walt and Skylar gave Hank and Marie the wrong video.
I’ve been a Time Warner Internet customer for about seven years but it’s might end soon, and I really don’t want that to happen. My job depends on me being online, and as the sole breadwinner I need consistent Internet availability. Here’s a rant, but I purposely indented the bullets in case you’d rather skip over it.
I had an issue last year and it was because I share some sort of outside unit with my neighbor. When a tech came out to work on their unit, they accidentally disabled mine and I was out of service for a few days.
Back in May my modem was replaced and some repair work was done on that outside unit as well the connections hanging outside the house. That really wasn’t much of a issue. Heck, the modem lasted about seven years.
For the last two weeks my three month modem has been turning itself on and off, and then speed will vary from slow to normal, and this is being hardwired in, not wireless. I called in and talked to some offshore folks last week who walked me through stuff I’ve already tried such as power cycling and bypassing the router. They agree to send out a tech.
Before the tech arrives, I get a call from an offshore rep saying some missing code was redeployed and it should have resolved my issue. I still keep my appointment.
The slowness reappears and thankfully it’s doing it just as the tech arrives. He replaced my store bought modem with one of his own, replaces the cable from the wall, the Ethernet cable, and replaces the outside buried line from the ally to the house. Now we are scheduled for a crew to come out and bury the cable.
A day after the tech leaves the slowness happens again. I call in and wait to get a rep for about half an hour. Thankfully it’s a nice lady in San Antonio that is super helpful, but we get disconnected and she doesn’t call back. The disconnection was my fault as I was on my cell and I confused the power button for the volume button.
I call back and wait another half hour to get a rep in Austin. We swap modems again and the same thing, and switch back again to the Time Warner modem. He said he can expedite a ticket and get a senior tech to come over on a Sunday since a tech was just out here the day before. This time the call got dropped, but he was cool enough to call back and set up the appointment. At the end of the call I asked if I could talk to his manager and tell him or her how much I appreciated him calling me back, his knowledge, and professionalism.
Later that night, right when I was bathing DaughterGeeding, an offshore person calls and tells me they did some things on their end and I should be good to go. I tested the speed once again hardwired in, and I’m only getting around 3 to 10 Mbps when I’m paying to get at least 20. She then tells me I’m confirmed for a Tuesday appointment but then I correct her saying that the rep I spoke to earlier would be sending a senior tech the next morning and I provided her with a work order number. She disagrees and says I should call customer service. I told her I’m talking to customer service and she advises me she’s a tech but can get me to a customer service supervisor. After a ten minute hold she introduces me to the customer service supervisor who goes on to tell me she isn’t a supervisor and confused as to why I was transferred to her. She also tells me she sees no record of an appointment for the next morning.
It’s Sunday now and I skip church early to be home for the tech who is to arrive at 11:00 AM. I wait until two to call and find that one indeed is coming to my house around 4:00 PM and he’s right on time. The poor guy replaces the outside cord the other guy laid because it wouldn’t be long enough to bury on Tuesday when the burying crew arrives. He replaces everything, and I mean everything. Even the wall plate and the wires hang on the house . . . but that still wasn’t working. He called and it seems like some stuff was done on the back end and now it’s up and running at a more than acceptable speed, but today will be the true test. Fingers crossed as I swore I would never go back to Verizon because of how poorly they treated me when I lived in an apartment and had to use their Verizon Avenue service.
It’s hard to keep all the M two state abbreviations straight.
I got into a bit of Titanic research and found that the White Star Line eventually became part of Carnival Cruises.
You hear the phrase “support the troops” a lot, but what does that really mean? Is putting a sticker on a car or seeing an emotional corporate product commercial featuring service members really supporting them? – No, thanks: Stop saying “support the troops”

I sort of feel your pain over the internet connectivity except I bet your "slow" is faster than my "best available" speed thru Centurylink. But it beats dialup and has a better ping than satellite.

I've been on AT&T dsl and I pay $60 a month for slow speed and dropped connection. I was thinking about trying Time Warner, as that is the only other option in my area but I think I'll wait. Remember the day where about 20 different ISPs in town?
