    So if I go to New York or LA and find the most extreme believers I can, then we can represent them as the norm for their states.

    It is so funny to see so called self proclaimed intelligent people that have no understanding of what people really are saying.

    I somewhat agee wih you, Larry. The focus of the story was on people living out there on the edge and yet live up to some people's impressions of the typical Texan. But the skit also highlighted that they could only muster up a total of five people for a meeting. By the end I took away an impression of a few miserable extremists who could be living anywhere.

    I saw it as political satire, not an attempt to portray the image that all Texans believe this. Satire and sarcasm are huge components of The Daily Show's humor, and it seemed like just another story in that vein.
