BoyGeeding turns one tomorrow, which means we’re having a party, which means visitors, which means GeedingManor hasn’t been this clean in a very long time.
I’m not embarrassed to say that I recently listened to some Rich Mullins on purpose.
There’s a Progressive Insureance commercial on the radio where Flo sings “Why are strikes bad in baseball but good in bowlinnng . . .” which always stops me down. A strike in baseball is only bad if your team is up for bat, but if your team is pitching, a strike is a very good thing. Come on, Flo, you’re better than this.
I don’t often get queso at Fuzzy’s Tacos, but when I do, I always crack up because they put shredded cheese on top . . . it’s just cheese on top of cheese.
I’m not usually fond of women with short hair, but in “House of Cards”, Robin Wright pulls it off quite nicely. One more thought about the show, in which I have about four episodes remaining, I think the worst actor is the man portraying Congressman Russo.
Over the past four or five years, DFW has been lucky with our sprots teams making the playoffs, but this year none may qualify.
Out of all the latest Internet fads, I’m actually getting a kick out of the Harlem Shake, and I guess it’s because it’s only 30-seconds compared to a whole song or music video, and more creative than plaking. “The Daily Show” had a good version of it as they did it in reverse.
– Rich Mullins. About once a year I listen to him for a bit. Always loved "Step by step"/"sometimes by step". And screendoor, of course. Remember seeing him live in high school many years ago.
– sprots. Plaking. Fire your editor.
– You and LiberallyLean are the only two people I've ever heard use the phrase "stops me down". What's up with that?
Ate at Fuzzy's in Decatur the other day. I was extremely underwhelmed. I will say it was better than Taco Bell, but that's about as far as I'm willing to go.
Thanks for solving the Daily Show bit for me. I didn't get it.
Love me some Rich Mullins. His full collection is on my iPod and always fits in when the shuffle feature hits it when I am on a run
