- We started touring preschools yesterday for DaughterGeeding. I didn’t go to any preschool as a child and always kind of thought it was just a glorified daycare and an unneeded expense, especially if parents spend a lot of time trying to teach their kids things, but I’m stating to come around on the idea as they can help kids learn to interact with others and learn in a structured environment. So now it’s gonna be time to trim the monthly budget a bit more to make things work.
- Are toll-free numbers still needed in today’s world? I don’t have to pay for long distance on either my mobile phone or land line, but then again, my land line is VOIP.
- ‘The Americans’ second episode was good, this show has got some potential.

The Americans is fantastic! FX has a pretty good pedigree with original programs (Rescue Me, Justified, American Horror Story) and this series falls right in line. The writing is excellent and I'm having trouble deciding who to root for. I'm waiting for them to tie in an actual event with their storyline, a la Mad Men. I did notice less emphasis on the period music this episode.
Did you watch Justified yet?
I finally cancelled my landline and opted for broadband only (saved about $60 a month). I haven't had a phone plugged in since we got DSL out here in the boonies. I do 100% of my phone calls from my cell. Just didn't make sense to keep it.
Nope, haven't gave Justified a try yet, but it's on the list. I don't have DSL, but I do have Internet through cable and bought an Ooma device that I use as my land line. You buy the device, and you never pay anything per month for your land line usage. I actually got the Ooma device as a refurb for only a $150.
Keith, how much is preschool tuition in your area? You can privately email me if you don't want to write it publicly. I'm just curious.
