Mister Rogers defending PBS to the US Senate

In 1969, Fred Rogers appeared before the United States Senate Subcommittee on Communications. His goal was to support funding for PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, in response to significant proposed cuts by President Nixon.

It’s interesting how cold Senator Pastore seems to be at the beginning and later warms up to Mr Roger’s charm. I think the best stuff starts around the 4:40 mark and how Pastore sums things up at the end of the clip.
