It’s August and we still live in Texas, right? While watching the Rangers game the temperature was 72 degree.
Top-earning towns – Two Texas towns make the list, The Woodlands near Houston and Flower Mound which is in my neck of the woods. Flower Mound is the current residence of Blair form “The Facts of Life” and current “Survivor” contestant.
I always thought it was strange for a town or city to have a name beginning with “The”, such as The Woodlands and The Colony. It just seems a little unstable.
I’ve been having trouble with GMail lately on my Chrome browser. In order to view my email, I actually have to maximize my screen.
I got into an email exchange with a good friend about a prayer to commitment sermon he recently heard. I guess he’s what some folks would refer to as a “new Christian” and he had some questions about it, and it reminded me of my Baptist days and the sinner’s prayer. You know that prayer is coming anytime you hear “with every head bowed and every eye closed . . .” Anywho, I decided to research the topic since my views on the prayer have changed as I’ve embraced a mainline denomination, and found that there’s some debate about the prayer among Southern Baptists at their last convention.

I've observed that in present day politics, with so many 24 hour news stations, if a political party wants something to be true they just say it as often as possible and over time it becomes as good as true. "Truthy" as Stephen Colbert would say.
Speaking of Best Buy and new lexicon, financial writers are saying that Best Buy is the victim of "showrooming".
