I was a little giddy with my options on television last night. NBA TB had a documentary about the Dream Team and TNT had the new version of Dallas which despite some questionable casting and a bit of bad acting, was pretty darn entertaining. My favorite line of the night came from JR when he woke up from his slumber and said “The courts are for amateurs.”
NBA Commissioner David Stern asked the annoying Jim Rome if he was still beating his wife. If those words came out of the mouth of an owner or player, even as a joke, I wonder how much Stern would have fined him.
The older I get, the faster my toe nails seem to grow.
Very, very dark Mad Men humor (surely you’ve seen the season ender by now). I haven’t thought about it, but from that pic, I think Pete is getting a corner office.
I was reading about Secretariat on Wikipedia and had no idea that most races horses are not buried whole: Secretariat was mourned by millions and buried at Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky, given the rare honor of being buried whole; usually only the head, heart, and hooves of a winning race horse are buried, and the rest of the body is cremated.
