  • That outfit is 30% off – now they are just $1,046.50.
  • Here’s a great photo idea for you newly married folks.  Take a picture each anniversary, and then hold that picture for the next anniversary’s photo, like this.

  • I knew that Jimmy Carter had solar panels put on the White House and Ronald Reagan took them down, but I didn’t know the George W. Bush put them back up.
  • Joe Buck had a great reply on twitter that made me literally LOL, but you would only get it if you knew who his father was and how he has been criticized in the past.  The guy has a great sense of humor.
  • I love how this cat just snatches up his new friend.

  • PEOPLE’s 2012 World’s Most Beautiful Woman lists someone from WifeGeeding’s hometown that has a population of a little over 5,000.  In my very biased opinion, I think WifeGeeding is definitely more beautiful, but I’d have to admit she can’t carry a tune.

  • After much thought and reflection, and trying to look at the issue from several perspectives, I decided to call my friend that said, “Keith, you have hurt more people than you now.”  I didn’t call to try to reignite a flame or get an apology, but just needed to know if that comment came out of anger because of something I said or if there was something more to it, and if there was, was there anything I could do to fix it to help him change that perception of me.  It turns out is was the former and not the latter, and I thanked him for offering me his time and grace in finding some closure to this issue and in helping me grow into a better human.
  • We had a resignation at work and management has asked me to learn configuration management to serve in a backup capacity.  Most thought this responsibility should have went to someone on the development side of the business and not the business analyst side, but since I had the compassion and like the idea of learning new stuff, I said in the most Barney Stinson kind of way, “Challenge accepted.”
  • A Texas college student who thought she would never get arrested for traffic warrants tweeted “”I still gotta warrant in pearland..those pigs will NEVER catch me!!!…NEVER!!!” actually got arrested.
  • On last night’s Rock Center, Brian Williams stated that it’s estimated that between our homes, schools, and restaurants, 40% of all edible food goes to waste.  It was part of a segment Chelsea Clinton did about restaurants in Florida like Red Lobster and Olive Garden donate food that would normally be wasted to underprivileged kids and families.  Her reporting was very subpar, but the story was still a bit touching, and it’s not like we hear positive news all that much.  You can watch that segment here.

But did you pronounce it assepted, or accepted? 🙂
What is your configuration management technology stack? I could probably help give you some guidance if you needed it.

We have an SCM guy here, kind of a team of one, but we would all be dead in the water without him…

Glad you made the move to show grace and underatanding to the friend whose words left you with hurt feelings. It takes a lot of "swallowing the pride" to make that type of overture….and you certainly came away from the entire incident having done the right thing! None of us likes the memory of words that cause us to question our actions and intentions! I like seeing "GRACE" at the end of your post!
