A while back my manager left to work for a competitor. He has been trying to recruit me to this competitor which includes a pay increase and I wouldn’t even have to interview, and I would have to telecommute from home for the most part. One thing that is holding me back is a non-compete contract that I would have to sign and the benefits and name recognition of the firm isn’t as great. I will have to make a decision by the end of day Monday I think.
Since college, I’ve been paid weekly except for about 10 months, but that will change if I take this job. I think it’s an every other week sort of thing.
I think the biggest difference between Star Wars and Star Trek is that one take place in the past and the other in the future.
Why is it that if you’re gonna play in Texas then you’re gonna need a fiddle in the band?
My favorite time of the day is slowly becoming 8:00 PM, that’s about a half-hour after our daughter is put to bed.
I had the DirecTV Whole Home DVR setup at GeedingManor yesterday, so far, I’m impressed. It helps with WifeGeeding when she’s breastfeeding, but I will say, I would prefer if you could categorize recordings by DVR. Perhaps that will come in a software update.
I would love to attend SXSW but I feel like I would just be overwhelmed.
We lose an hour of sleep this weekend, but then again, we have a new born and aren’t sleeping anyways.
When it comes to Doritos, I prefer Cool Ranch, and they are always hard to find at Subway.
I wonder what former Dallas Sidekick Tatu is up to these days.
On Star Trek – Star Wars – the other big difference is that not only is star wars "long ago", it takes place in a far away galaxy. Star Trek takes place in an earth based "reality".
Since Texas is a right to work state, I don't think you can be forced to sign a no-compete contract. Also, Southwest Airlines is reducing the weight of their seats (less cushioning) and adding another row to each plane (less legroom).
