Pastor Ed Young’s Latest Project: PastorFashion.com

From the Runway to the Pulpit

Pastors aren’t typically known for their fashion. Most people don’t think of the runway leading up to the pulpit. But why not?! Why can’t the men and women of God set the standard for the rest of the world in fashion as well as faith? That’s why we’re launching PastorFashion.com. We want to set the trends.

Check back with us regularly, as we’ll be posting things like what not to wear, fashion tips, the latest trends and so much more!

We’re not trying to be like the world…we just want to be fashionable while we try to change it! Have fashion tips, things you’ve seen done (whether right or wrong)? This is the place we’ll keep the conversation going and the trends growing!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

  2. Kirk says:

Young is taking vanity to "a whole 'nutha level.". Why people follow this charlatan is beyond me.

  3. dan says:

Guys like this are killing organized religion.

  4. JSmith says:

I agree with all these posts. I am amazed that Christians believe this stuff. Fortunately, the 8% of Americans that are true Christians should dismiss this just as easily.

  5. Richard says:

Why is a guy wearing that vest giving anyone fashion advice? Why does he worry about the clothes in his brother's closet but fail to noticte the queer vest in his own closet?

  6. Kirk says:

I suspect that this website and those videos are Young's attempt to parody himself. Unfortunately, his regular schtick is full of self-parody, and so when he tries to be funny on purpose it falls flat.

If I were attending Fellowship Church (and I have relatives who do attend there), here is what I would expect in the way of transparency:
    1. I would expect Ed's salary to be publicly available. This would include all forms of compensation, from direct salary, to retirement, to housing allowance, to wardrobe allowance, to income from the books and videos sold at the in-church bookstore. Young should make his tax returns available to anyone upon request.
    2. I would expect church leaders to disclose information to church members about the assets held by the church. Private jet airplanes, for instance.
