  • It’s interesting how Saddam Hussein and Moammar Gadhafi, murderous dictators that lived in luxury and taunted the world, were both found hiding in a rat hole and drainage tunnel.
  • Seriously, if you are a dictator of your own country, can’t you give yourself a higher rank than colonel?
  • Of all the states, Alaska is the northernmost, westernmost, and most interestingly, the easternmost state.  It’s all because of those Aleutian Islands.
  • While listening to sports radio yesterday it was mentioned that the right field foul pole of the old Busch Stadium was left standing and became the left field foul pole for the new Busch Stadium.  I looked all over the intertubes and couldn’t find anything to back that up, but I did find this very awesome time-lapse of the two stadiums as one was being built and the other town down.  I actually prefer this animated gif better than that YouTube link.
  • Those Rangers sure do like to keep things interesting.
  • We had a Cardinals fan watching the game with us that obviously didn’t like the outcome, but I told her not to feel too bad, after all, they did have the lead for more innings than we did.  I don’t think she appreciated that very much.
