A Finish publication (their third largest actually) has now mentioned my Rob Ryan observation. Their link generated about 14,600 unique visitors to this little blog. I had no idea the Fins were fans of the NFL.

Jon Stewart had an interesting question when speaking to Gov Mitch Daniels last night. “The Republicans are doing everything they can to protect the wealthy, the job creators, through policy and rhetoric. If they are the job creators, and why are they not creating when tax cuts were extended?” It was something close to that, but it made me ponder for a while.
The particular highlight of the interview was when Stewart called him on his “language of unity.”

They were important culturally because they rid the world of the stereotype of Southern U.S. bands all sounding like Lynyrd Skynyrd or Charlie Daniels Band. Kinda like how Nirvana wiped out L.A. "hair bands" in the early 90's. Their first single, Radio Free Europe was fresh to the ears in the early 80's. Peter Buck was an influence to many guitarists over the years. I lost interest in them a long time ago but still kept track of what they were up to.
