Bag of Randomness

  • A mountain climber that is really showing off, but I admit, it’s funny.
  • Lots of television last night – Cowboys/Redskins, VMAs, Mad Men, season ending of Entourage . . .
  • Speaking of Cowboys/Redskins, they both employ tight ends that decided to post their privates on the Internet.
  • The Cowboys wore white for the first time while playing at Washington for the first time in what, 30 years?  Since the Theismann era?  Maybe the would have been better off with the “Bad Luck Blues.”
  • The O-line will kill us this year, but I am happy to be rid of Flozell Adams.
  • Did anyone catch that Rick Perry commercial during the game?  It looked like it was shot in the 70’s, but the funniest part of it all was that it started in a barber shop?
  • What was up with all that talk about the 49’ers being so great this year?
  • Houston decide to make a statement with their win over the Colts.  There’s a stat about the team from the previous year’s Super Bowl not making the playoffs, Indy just might live up to the trend.
  • Texas Tech now has white helmets?
  • I’m not a big Major League Baseball and college football fan for one reason – the games are too dang long.  OK, there may be other reasons, but that’s probably the main reason.
  • I attended the Rangers game yesterday and amazing we swept the Yankees.  Cliff Lee had a no hitter going into the 5th and for some reasons the fans started to do the wave.
  • Things that are hard to avoid at a Rangers game – men with the shirts off and men and women showing off tattoos.
  • Something that I thought was surprisingly low key – Pete Rose was reinstated into baseball for a day
  • I’ve heard some of the most insensitive racial comments the other day on my drive home on 105.3 The Fan.  And on Saturday night Mike Ryner of 1310 AM The Ticket tweeted something that was probably the most offensive thing a Christian could hear.
  • My buddy Jimi will be heartbroken to hear that the Liberace Museum will be closing their doors.
  • Speaking of Jimi, he took part in some kind of Dallas ‘Amazing Race’ event called City Search.  You could only ride DART and then had to perform tasks at certain locations all for charity.
  • 80’s Cake
  • Speaking of the 80’s, if you even want to pull a Doc Brown and send a telegram to Marty
  • Africa is much bigger than you probably think
  • I think I would like to attend the TCU/Baylor game.
  • Your next Heisman winner
  • Little did I know, but you can’t buy a MLB ticket after the seventh inning.
