If you’re having a hard time filling in your NCAA bracket sheets, imagine what it will be like in the future. ESPN seems to think it’s highly likely the NCAA will go to 96 teams, or even 128 teams, in the near future. The first 64 teams will get a bye.

I’ve read a few stories recently about Audi and allegations, back in the 1980’s, that their cars were prone to unintended acceleration after starting. Turns out it had nothing to do with their engineering but rather people confusing the accelerator and brake pedals when they shifted into drive after starting. To prove their hypothesis they installed a fix that required drivers to first push the brake pedal down before shifting into drive and all of the accidents went away. There was no accusation of Audi car computers causing it because Audi didn’t have computers installed back then. A high percentage of the unintended accelerations involved the elderly, parking valets, etc. It took over a decade to recover from their lost sales. “Sixty Minutes” did a segment on it. Since the Toyota allegations have become public, reported incidents have soared and the class action lawyers are lobbying as to which ones will be selected to be the lead attorneys.

The worst aspect of these imbeciles who dress up as make-believe soldiers is that it’s difficult to take any veteran speeches serious anymore unless the speaker has been thoroughly vetted.

Some places where people work, it is a firing offense to fill out an NCAA bracket, incredible as that may be.
