Hannah Storm’s Outfit

Tony Kornheiser was recently suspended from ESPN for commenting on Hannah Storm’s outfit on his radio show:

“a horrifying, horrifying outfit today. She’s got on red go-go boots and a Catholic school plaid skirt … way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now.”

Well…I'm not going to touch the sausage comment, but those boots are hideous, and I don't think she can pull off the skirt either. I'm missing him on PTI.

He's definitely the better dressed individual in that photo. She looked like she was ready to take over as the go-go dancer for Goldie Hawn on Laugh-In.

Okay, it's garish, I agree, BUT from this photo, she is thin enough and pretty enough to make it work. And her reds appear to match. I think it works okay. Inappropriate for television, sure, but it works. And since ESPN's audience is overwhelmingly male, I'm guessing that a lot of them didn't mind it a bit, and it's probably why she chose that outfit. I have never seen her before now, though.

Kornheiser was way out of line in ANY context, since it's harrassment. It's something a child would say, not an adult.

Not that I watch ESPN anyway. 😉

Who is Kornheiser to talk? I recall when he first came on Monday Night Football, a journalist for ESPN criticized his broadcasting skills and he went ballistic about being attacked by his own organization. I was happy when he was removed from the show…very annoying.

Hannah Storm is a beautiful person. I hope she continues on ESPN sports cause I think she is a great journalist also. Keep up the great work Hannah………

Marvin, how are Kornheiser's comments harassment? His job on ESPN is to make such comments about athletes and sports personalities. It's tongue-in-cheek entertainment. They talk about everyone on PTI and usually no one cares. It's no more childish than jokes that any comedian or talk show host would make about another celebrity. Heck…Kornheiser and Wilbon talk about each other constantly and neither one of them take it too seriously. On another note, I think Hannah Storm looks nice in just about anything she wears so I strongly disagree with Kornheiser about the outfit. The fact that she is close to 50 and still looks like a 30 year old is no reason to criticize her flamboyance.
