Bag of Randomness

  • I sat in a class for Excel and Outlook 2007 – there’s a lot of neat stuff in those applications in a nerdy kinda way.
  • Google bullies usually complain about Outlook, but I don’t think those places work in an organization of over 10,000 people.  Personally, I love both programs, and both are more versatile than most would think.
  • I give the Jason’s Deli Southwest Chicken Chili two thumbs up.
  • Shania Twain was on American Idol last night.  If I were to rate my all time celebrity crushes, she would be included in my top five.
  • For you Cowboys fans, if you didn’t watch Real Sports on HBO last night, you may want to DVR the next episode.  They covered the Cowboys training facility crash.  Personally, I’m surprised we haven’t heard more about it during the season, like some kind of expose.  I guess for legal reasons no one was talking.
  • In that segment, it was referenced that Rich Behm and Joe DeCamillis, the ones most severely injured, could not sue the Cowboys because of workers compensation laws, but since the land the training headquarters is on is owned by a separate Jerry Jones entity, that entity could possible be sued.
  • I wasn’t aware until I watched that segment that coach Joe DeCamillis was able to walk away from the disaster with a broken vertebra.
  • I think DeCamillis will one day become the head coach of the Cowboys.
  • I have a coworker that uses Comic Sans as her default font, and it drives me absolutely batty.  That font should be banned.
  • Leno insulted Southwest Airlines with one of his bad jokes last night.  Everyday at work I pass by several pictures of him of when he hosted an event for the airline.
  • Cake dress
  • What Would Martin Luther King Make of Twitter?
  • The woman behind Conan O’Brien
  • A Christian television program got Rickrolled.
  • For you Greggo fans – here’s a chance for you to be his radio sidekick.
  • Bird riding a bird
  • I’m surprised more notebooks aren’t like this.
  • AskMen.com has come up with the 2010 edition of the top 99 most desirable women.  If you are an Entourage fan, you will like who comes in at #1.
  • Woot did a nice thing.
  • Oceans of liquid diamond and diamond icebergs?
  • The NY Post is reporting that Dennis Hopper, who appears to be on his death bed, just divorced his wife to leave her out of his will.
  • I’ve been reading about how a lot of doctors who are medical correspondents down in Haiti are taking a lot of heat for actually helping with their medical expertise rather than just being a journalist.  Personally, I think it’s more important to show grace than it is to play a reporter.  Somewhat related, looting is starting to become a problem in Haiti, and Anderson Cooper decided to help a young boy with a bloody face (hit by a brick I think) to safety.
  • Speaking of Haiti, earthquake survivors are getting solar powered Bibles

I love that notebook. I never could bring myself to write on cards, in notebooks, etc when the item is in an upright position. If I sign a form for example at the doctors office or a credit card slip, I always have to turn it sideways.

Why do you dislike Comic Sans? I love it! I think it is a great font,it's friendly, simple, and easygoing. Now Times New Roman is one that I can't stand.
