    Actually this is bad marketing as four fingers is extremely bad to attract Japanese tourists. The Simpsons tv show have had trouble with this as the #4 is when spoken is close to the word "death". As well, the Japanese mafia have a custom of cutting off the finger or an enemy so it's very bad luck to have only four fingers.

    The kids program Bob The Builder added a fifth finger for Japanese audiences.
