Woman says she killed husband over TV volume during Dallas Cowboys game
An Allen woman accused of killing her husband said she stabbed him in the heart after he turned up the volume of a Dallas Cowboys game, according to media reports.
Kimberly Shanks
A grand jury indicted Kimberly Shanks, 51, on May 7 for fatally stabbing Charles Shanks, 49, on Dec. 14. She will appear before a judge on May 27.
Shanks admitted to killing her husband at their home in the 1400 block of Lone Star Court on Dec. 14 after he turned up the volume of a Dallas Cowboys game “knowing it would keep her awake,” the Star Community Newspapers Web site reported, citing court documents.

Stweet is a mix of street and twitt, offering a real new way to discover geolocalised twitts from Twitter on a Google Street View panorama.
Stweet is an artistic project dealing with the appropriation of geographical, photographic and real-time data from the Web.
It offers a real new way enriched representation of information created on internet by two major players of the web, Twitter and Google.
I toyed around with it and entered a Dallas location and this area around SMU popped up.

Yes!
The frequency of chirping varies according to temperature. To get a rough estimate of the temperature in degrees fahrenheit, count the number of chirps in 15 seconds and then add 37. The number you get will be an approximation of the outside temperature.

The London Evening Standard today launches one of the most daring of publicity campaigns by apologising to Londoners for its previous behaviour.
Buses and tubes will carry a series of messages throughout the week that begin with the word “sorry.” The first says “Sorry for losing touch”. Subsequent slogans say sorry for being negative, for taking you for granted, for being complacent and for being predictable.

At our Mountain View headquarters, we have some fields that we need to mow occasionally to clear weeds and brush to reduce fire hazard. This spring we decided to take a low-carbon approach: Instead of using noisy mowers that run on gasoline and pollute the air, we’ve rented some goats from California Grazing to do the job for us (we’re not “kidding”). A herder brings about 200 goats and they spend roughly a week with us at Google, eating the grass and fertilizing at the same time. The goats are herded with the help of Jen, a border collie. It costs us about the same as mowing, and goats are a lot cuter to watch than lawn mowers.
