Old Emails

November 6th, 2008

I have a hard time deleting emails, I like to keep them like I would a sentimental card or a letter.

The oldest email I have in my inbox is from my friend Timmy that dates back to April 26, 2000.

What’s the oldest email you currently have in your inbox?

You should get a gmail account if you dont have one. Not only do they have a great spam filter that BG talks about but they have unlimited space and a star system for those really important emails. They also have a search for your email. It searches not only who it is from but all so in the body of the email so if you know even a little what you are looking for it is easy to find.

    2005.

I put all of the old ones in a history folder so they don’t clog the inbox.

Every so often I go through the history folder and K-5 the ones I’d forgotten I even had.

I have email dating back to 1998. Okay, it’s not actually in my “inbox” but they’re all still instantly accessible in my mail program.

I have emails from 1991 in my archive. Back when email readers were not graphical. Brings back great memories of late nights in the computer lab.

Gmail baby! Archive it all, and create a Label called “Sentimental” for quick-finds of your favorites.

I have every I’ve ever sent or recieved (since 2005) in my archives. All searchable.
