Re: the “Clearly Closed” link – there is a Wal-Mart on 75-Central at Midpark that is most definitely closed – all the signage has been removed and there is virtually no activity around it, except for the gas station on the property. There was a sign a few weeks ago saying the store was closing on Nov 11 and would reopen on Nov 12, but it closed, and hasn’t reopened – I went in on November 6 and the cupboard was nearly bare – they were gearing up (or down) for something, and there were signs with “Mandatory Meeting Notices” for managers, associates and other employees. HERE’S the truly ironic part – there has been a billboard for a few weeks that can be seen on northbound 75 touting the “now open” and “New” store at 75 and Midpark. And THEN, for a few days after November 12, there was even a “Location Available” sign above the entrance, giving one to believe that Wal-Mart was abandoning the location – that sign is now gone, but nothing else appears to be happening. Very strange, but not surprising…
