I was recently asked . . .

Why do you think people visit your website?

I know I have some friends and family that visit because they know what kind of goofball I am, so let me relay the question to you . . .

Why do you visit this website?  There’s a lot of websites out there where you can kill time, but you choose to visit this one in particular.  Is it because of the quirkiness of some of the posts, the spiritually related stuff, or is there some other reason I can’t think of?

My wife and I both check it throughout the day, and then over dinner, we talk about what made us laugh. It’s a Hart Family pastime!

    …and, we love Keith.

  2. Kevin says:

I honestly don’t even remember how I found this site, but I love random videos and pictures. Many make me laugh. Personally I skim over the religious stuff but I love the uniqueness of some of the items I find here.

  3. MattL says:

It seems like we have a lot of the same interests, so I can easily find a collection of the days items I would be interested in reading.

  4. jonathan says:

I come because it is the ultimate time waster. Just admit it, you got a big fat bag of nothing on this site!

And I wish Rev. Hart would just admit that he comes looking for dirty pictures.

  5. DJG says:

Ol’ friend and roommate just wanting to keep up with Tuna and Mrs. Geeding…

  6. 05girl says:

I just really enjoy the randomness! The “bag of Randomness” and all the random internet finds… Keep it up, please!

    Thanks!

  7. Doug says:

    BACON!!!!!

  8. becky says:

You find the stuff I’m looking for…you’re wayyy funnier than I am….

  9. Chris says:

Saw a piece of paper on the bulletin board at Quizno’s in Lewisville a couple of years back with the address on it and looked at it and have been hooked for some reason. Also any reason to waste my companies time.

  10. dan says:

All of the above. Unusual and humorous stories, videos and pictures I can’t get anywhere else; news stories that are a day to a week ahead of appearing in mainstream news; and, of course, bag of randomness let’s me see inside the mind of a genius blogger

  11. carolyn says:

I just come here for the bacon.

  12. DB says:

Gotta be the bacon…love the smell of bacon

  13. Nathan S. says:

We like a lot of the same stuff… it’s a blog that I dont’ have to wade through all the junk to see stuff I like. I like everything on it… except the polictics. However, the politics on this blog were one of the main reasons I went from being very very anti-Ron Paul to very very Pro-Ron Paul.. I’m a flip-flopper 😡

  14. Melissa says:

    i come here for nothing!

you have a wide variety of “stuff” and most of it i find highly amusing, interesting, and/or thought provoking.

and you are just a real person, being you…and it shows.

    and i like it.

  15. Bella says:

I keep coming back because you find “the good stuff” before everyone else. Not just that, but you’re a genuinely good person with great perspective.

    You’re our invisible friend. : )

  16. Greg says:

Great mix of randomness and fun. I enjoy the honesty you put into your posts.

  17. Darren says:

I come here for the pics of the dog. But enough about Keith,
he should show more photos of his pets! *snort*

  18. Eileen says:

I have no idea how I got here and I guess I like the variety of your posts. It’s nice to see someone have different religious & political views and not be a crazy rant’er, that kinda holier-than-thou, ya know?

  19. Warren says:

Not sure how I found you either….that seems to be a whole other topic for you. I enjoy the variety and you have good taste in finding stories. I pass over the religious posts as well. I’m enjoying the Bag of Randomness, much better than the Twitter experiment.

  20. Abhi says:

I like nothing and you have the best collection of it. Without my daily dose, I would have to go get something else, and what I really just want is nothing. Thanks for Nothing!

  21. sheila says:

Like what’s in the Bag. Funny and Interesting, but not creepy or sleazy. Politics are smart. No crazy rants.
Just found this blog recently and have really been enjoying it. Nice work.

  22. Andy Box says:

I mainly visit (almost every day) because you dig up the weirdest and most interesting sites/pics/stories I can find anywhere on the Net. I also like BON because you include a mix of funny stuff and thought-provoking stuff. As you’ve seen, sometimes I borrow your ideas (with credit of course!) for my own blog and share my own thoughts on the topic for my readers.

  23. Tammy says:

Pretty much visit everyday. LOVE IT. Very humorous and interesting.

  24. Nic says:

I think I ran across your site on a John Sandford message board. The first time I read it, I was hooked. I’m here every morning with my coffee. You do a great job, thanks!

  25. Kal says:

I think that I linked over from Barry’s blog. I am not for sure when I did it, but I have been reading it ever since. It helped whenever I was living in Austin to read your posts about the DFW area. Kinda kept me in touch.

  26. Cowtown Doug says:

Your “bag of nothing” is REALLY SOMETHING.

  27. towski says:

    Several reasons:

You seem to be ahead of the curve on posting funny tidbits – I usually see them here prior to Clicked on MSNBC or Gordon’s website.

It’s always nice to check in on fellow democrats here in the big city.

    Common interests.

Early on (at least a year and a half ago), when I first visited the site, you engaged me via email on a couple of comments I posted. I thought that was cool.
