Nevertheless, it will be one of the two things the Bush presidency will be remembered for. What surprises me is how far things got before Paulson began screaming, “Fire!” They gave the impression they weren’t clued into what was happening until a few minutes before midnight. The average person reading the Business Section of the paper could see it coming more than a year ago 3) I didn’t hear the Senatorial debate but the illegal immigration issue is becoming lame. It looks as though it is working itself out through the poor economy. What baffles me is Cornyn’s television ad campaign showing him wandering around in West Texas ruminating about how messed up Washington has become over the last six years that he’s been in office. He doesn’t even portray himself as a maverick or reformer. He might as well conclude it with, “Vote for me. I’m part of the problem” 4) Your doldrums may be a combination of Cowboys mediocrity and injuries combined with the incessant economic news that things are really bad but they’ll probably get worse.
